These days it seems Zombie games have become a dime a dozen. We see zombie, we smack it until it falls over then we move on to the next zombie…*Yawn*. The formula has gotten stagnant, stale, overused and has almost hit the point of boring. Sure every once in a blue moon we get something that gives us a new experience with the massive undead horde but those seem to be few and far between.
Enter Dying Light! Though details have been infernally scarce, it still has us breathless at the possibilities. For the uninitiated, Dying Light is a first-person, action survival horror video game with a portentous day-night cycle set in a vast open world with free running capabilities and is being developed by Techland (makers of Dead Island and the Call of Juarez series) and Published by Warner Brothers. Now if that last sentence did not make your mouth water and/or brought a tear to your eye, kindly exit the area and go play drink the chemicals.
The Road Rash is Strong With Dying Light
While details are hard to come by, we finally have a gameplay video that will make you wish you had a T.A.R.D.I.S. just so you could fast forward to the release and run through the streets a la Mirrors Edge. While this video is 12 minutes and we understand that getting anyone to sit still on the internet for 30 seconds deserves an award, I would like to urge you all to watch this trailer so (if nothing else) you can understand my anticipation.
Do you see what I mean! The only way that could have been better was if it came with a free car!
